So my Gorgeous Husband and I have been talking about saving money while food shopping. Because we are all busy and our days move so fast sometimes we get caught in the trap of "running in to grab a few things". Sound familiar??? Since having our "Thermi" getting organized has made life soo much easier and having the ingredients on hand saves so much time and money. No more running in and coming out with an empty "Spending" account..
We all had some imput on what we would like to have for dinner or new recipes that we are going to try for the week/s ahead and this is what we came up with.. Bearing in mind that I didnt choose what I would cook on what day because if I was to get caught up having a sneaky coffee it would ruin the flow.. So just some quick yummy healthy dinners.. Our Menu went something like this...
TM stock, a must for my cooking
Beef Minestrone and Basic Bread rolls
Capsicum and Sun dried Tomato Dip
Herbed Chicken Balls
Fast Chicken Curry
Beef Stroganoff
Chilli Con Carne
5 Seed Bread
Luigi's 40 Sec Biscuits
Curried Sausages
Aussie Meat Pies
Home Made Hamburgers
and Zucchini slice...
My life is now organized and my families bellies are full... the world is a wonderful place..

Exciting times ahead...
Well we have booked it in, Cooking classes begin on Thursday the 8th of September 2011..
Along the way we have tried some different recipes and taste testing to come up with some dishes we would like to share, and although I cant share the taste over the blog, I can tempt you with some pics... Our sausage roll journey...
Then added eggs, fetta, soy sauce, bread crumbs that we made earlier..(will post pics of that) and oat flakes. 20 seconds, speed 5.
To come up with the mixture to go in the pastry.. We have all made sausage rolls in our time so you know how to do the pastry part... Did you notice NO MEAT, and you wouldnt have evan known that if you didnt see pics to prove it.. they are delicious and 25 seconds to mix.

Well we wanted to have a Super cook of Saturday and that we did.... While the kids played in the wonderful sunshine that we have missed so much, we had some time to make a start of some of the dishes we wanted to include in our class of dinners... we think some tweaking is needed in our choices but hey we had a feast..
I have included some pictures of along the way, just to show you how much your Thermi (our little pet name for our favorite contraption ever) We started with our basic bread recipe, and the whole wheat grain..
I have included some pictures of along the way, just to show you how much your Thermi (our little pet name for our favorite contraption ever) We started with our basic bread recipe, and the whole wheat grain..
Popped 100gms into the Thermi for 1min speed 9 and ended up with a fine flour. Add in water, yeast, bakers flour and oil and mix for 30 sec speed 5....
This mixes all of the ingredients ready for kneading. 2min 30 seconds on the kneading function and your dough is ready to come out of the jug to prove.
Let it rise and 20-30 min later (when you have finished cooking another dish to go with your scrolls of for dinner) your bread dough is ready to be formed into whatever you desire... Sky is the limit with this one...

Freshness makes a difference.
Let's be honest for a minute.. We all love to eat, some sweet and some savory.. but we all love it to be fresh. Does it get any fresher than this?? No Chemicals, no plastic, no spray just fresh organic vegetables.
I added the onion, garlic, capsicum, zucchini and parsley, chopped for 5 seconds on Speed 7 and this is what I came up with!
Our Grand Plans...
So Ria and I have found a new passion.. Our Thermomix's. Its a fantastic piece of machinery.. by now you may well have heard of all its functions and found it hard to believe that this one product can make such a difference to not only how you feed your family, but also the time it takes to do it. Seeing is believing as the old saying goes.. So this is where you all come in...
We are going to be starting cooking classes (held in Rosebud) and below is a list of ideas for our flyers...
